Holistic Relaxation Community Group Workshops – varied focus

Community workshops will be held at various venues and events throughout the year. These workshops are for restorative relaxation and to help you take some time out for self-care. They have different mind body focuses and vary in content and are not an exercise class. They are suitable for 14yrs+ and most abilities. Seated options at workshops.

EVERYONE NEEDS SELF-CARE – no one is exempt! So bring your family and friends the next time you see one advertised or join my WhatsApp group to be notified when I run a workshop. Each workshop will help you build on your self-care tools so that you can practice them at home to improve your well-being. If you want to request a focus then please do so, or even to run a workshop in your area. Think of my workshops as a taster/refresher style workshop to help give you some support with life.

So what happens at a Relaxation or Body Tension release focus workshop!

Because we are all soo busy I like to start my workshop with a grounding practice so that you can come home to yourself and feel back in your body. I choose various different ways to do this so no two workshops are the same. Most start on the mat but a seated option is always available. We all are different and what works for one doesn’t work for another and it’s good to try new calming & grounding tools. Following this there will be a varied focus in each workshop using various tools to help with the mind to simply switch it off, ease anxiety and stress. The focus for a workshop comes from requests and what I feel needs tackled from my Holistic Therapies. I will then focus on releasing tension held within the body so that you can fully relax before concluding on the mat for a restorative relaxation practice. Remember that my Journey to Ok is my 1-2-1 workshop if you want to start working on a body issue and you don’t have to wait until I run a community one.

My body tension release workshops will focus on releasing tension and stress held within the body focusing on the trigger points. Using Energy Skill (Chi Gung) body postures I can release tight, tense muscles and the results have been similar to the affects of a full body massage. I have spent a long time designing practices using all my healing modalities and experience to give you this much needed help, and to ensure you release muscular tension in a safe and controlled way, so that you leave more relaxed and grounded. I wanted to make it simple so that you could take some of the tools taught and use them at home for a better quality of life. I am proud to say that I have nailed it! The clarification my own style works from those who have attended one or more workshops is the “why” in why I do this. My community workshops are relaxed, fun and useful and are designed to motivate you to switch off regularly for that much needed self-care.

Sleep

My first community workshop in November 2023 was a joint workshop focusing on Sleep. Then I focused on constant troublesome aches in the body, then a relaxation workshop to help Quiet the mind, then a workshop to show through Mindfulness that the brain needs an upgrade and you are enough, then a workshop for stress and headaches to show that you can do so much to eliminate them, and a workshop to help you calm the mind and body when overwhelm strikes.
