WHY TAKE THIS COURSE?

No one is the same as you, no one has had the same life journey as you, therefore only you will know what works for you. Come and learn how to read your body and mind so that you can give yourself that much needed upgrade. Everything else gets upgraded so why not you?

What Causes Headaches? It was once believed that there were only two simple origins of headaches. Vascular headaches, such as migraines, occurred when blood vessels that supplied the brain and muscles of the head and neck dilated or were constricted. Tension headaches were thought to result from the tensing and contracting of muscles of the head, face, and neck in response to physical stress, such as injury or emotional distress.

Today, it is understood that there are complex chemical changes in the brain associated with headache pain. Tension headaches are associated with neurochemicals in the brain —varying levels of serotonin, endorphins and other chemicals that serve as neurotransmitters (substances that nerves use to send messages to one another) helping nerves to communicate.

These chemical changes observed in headache sufferers may cause, or be caused by, muscle tension. It is possible that tensed muscles in the neck and scalp may trigger a headache in someone with altered neurochemical levels or, on the other hand, the neck and scalp muscles may be tensing in response to these neurochemical changes. The rise and fall of these chemicals are thought to not only activate pain pathways to the brain but also interfere with the brain’s own capacity to suppress the pain.

Massage therapy and Energy Skill (Chi Gung) postures can effectively ease the muscle tension that causes headaches. Combine this with a daily relaxed and calm you stops the never ending cycle of tight muscles and then headaches. That is what this course is all about, and the most important thing is that if you put the work in it works. Are you ready for change? A new happier you is waiting!

I AM WORTH IT!

After many years as a holistic therapist I can see that today’s lifestyle is very stressful and the effects on us as human beings is not what we are designed for. Stress comes in many forms and the only way to reverse the negative affects you are feeling is to STOP and acknowledge that you want to feel better and therefore have better enjoyment out of your life. My Stress & Headache Management course will be a structured to run over as many months that you need to encourage you to adapt your new mind-set, and slowly build up the daily changes required to improve your quality of life.

Your investment in you is all that is needed, and with my Journey to Ok course I already get 100% results in improving muscular tension aches from the first lesson, and this option is available to you if you don’t want any massage therapy. But the thing is with stress & headaches issues is that it normally takes longer to safely work out a plan for you as an individual to fit in with your current lifestyle. My success in helping others stop head & neck tension has come from a combination of massage & home care lessons. Don’t get me wrong you will get results from the first session but to get lasting results you need to adopt a new way of living to work with your muscles and then your brain. We all arrive into this world as mind, body and soul and therefore you need to concentrate on helping your body first, then your mind and then the rewards of the real you enjoying your best life ever.

Each session starts off with a myofascial trigger point & acupressure massage freeing the tensions in the body, therefore enabling all your body systems to function as they should. Course one includes a personalised full assessment to understand your muscular concerns. This is essential to practice each week so that you can assess if your treatment plan is working for you. This course starts your journey into you and focuses on the areas of most discomfort first. At the first session I will teach you some basic Chi Gung tension release body postures to do at home. The course structure enables you to build on your body management skills at each session, and then brings your awareness to your mind and just like your body it needs a break from time to time. This course is designed around you and combines all my therapies.

Minimum time between session 1 & 2 is one week to allow for safe healing & assessment.  If you only got a short time of relief out of session one then book this now. It takes 3 -4 weeks between session 2 & 3 so that the daily movement stretches become a permanent fixture throughout your day if your headaches persist. Learning to read your own body, again this is essential to progress any further. You need to move your blockages once the muscles are looser. It is at this stage where you will start to get to the core of your problems within the body & now that your body is healing from any stress and posture damage you can start to work on your busy mind. Session four – 2 hr app includes learning Mindfulness techniques to finally give your brain a rest from daily tensions. Sometimes going back to the start is what is needed to ensure stretching, body scanning, mindfulness relaxation and self-massage are becoming a daily or weekly habit. You can take as long as you need to work at your self-care, and if busy then at least a back massage appointment is needed on a monthly basis until you are feeling better. Once your discomfort stops then regular appointments 4 – 8 weekly appointments are required then hopefully an appointment just when you need is all that is required. This is your end goal. I have a fantastic success record at clearing headaches and you don’t need to suffer.

Please check with your healthcare professional that you are suitable for massage and Chi Gung postures before your appointment if you suffer from debilitating migraines. This course is still for you but you must go at a slower pace. I will contact you before your appointment to assess your suitability for this combined therapies course. How Massage Can Help With Migraine Pain
Migraines will often be accompanied by neck and shoulder pain, muscle tension, and other related symptoms. Massage therapy can help alleviate pain in those areas by releasing muscle tension, improving blood flow, and easing muscle spasms. There are a variety of massage techniques that can target these areas to provide relief from migraines and even prevent them in the future.

Not only can massage therapy keep your muscles relaxed, but it can also lower stress levels and help with your overall emotional state. If you find that migraines are a recurring pattern in your life, then stress and anxiety may be a contributing factor. Studies have shown that when people are experiencing a lot of stress, their hormone levels may go up or down and this could trigger a migraine to occur.

One of the most well-known health benefits of massage therapy is its ability to lower stress levels. A consistent massage therapy routine can prevent stress and migraines from occurring.

Pressure point techniques that focus on muscle lines, nerve pathways, and blood vessels are useful for helping with migraine symptoms. These can be a great way to relieve pressure in the face.

That is why massage pressure point techniques are great for alleviating migraine pain.
